American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) Q1: Strategic roadmap pays off, according to Jennifer Foyle, president and executive creative director of AE and Aerie.

Young adult apparel retailer American Eagle Outfitters (NYSE:AEO) missed analysts' expectations in Q1 CY2024, with revenue up 5.8% year on year to $1.14 billion. It made a GAAP profit of $0.34 per share, improving from its profit of $0.09 per share in the same quarter last year.

American Eagle reported store revenue rose 4% and digital revenue increased 12%. Aerie revenue of $373 million rose 4%, with comp sales up 6%. American Eagle revenue of $725 million increased 8%, with comp sales growing 7%.
