If the Nets want to make a trade at the March 25 deadline (or before), what they have to offer is somewhat limited. Sure they have their own players, but the four-team trade that brought James Harden to Brooklyn took care of their first rounders. ALL gone. There are some assets left, but they’re mostly second rounders, exceptions and draft stashes. We decided to take a look at just what’s there.
Let’s start with the Draft assets . such as they are.

- Dating back to last season, UCLA has won 16 of its past 20 Pac-12 contests (and 24 of 32 overall games).
- Dating back to last January, the Bruins have won 16 consecutive home games (including the last 13 in Pac-12 play).
In the three-team blockbuster, the Pistons acquired Rodney McGruder, Dzanan Musa who they waived Sunday the draft rights to Jaylen Hands and Toronto s 2021 second-round draft pick. The Pistons shipped out Kennard and four second-round picks to the Clippers (Portland s in 2023, their own from 2024-26), and sent Bruce Brown to the Nets. Brooklyn acquired shooting guard Landry Shamet in the deal from the Clippers.
The Pistons don t have their own second-round pick until 2027. This is quite a deal for Kennard, and I think reflective of teams + agents digesting that so many potential free agents went off the board, tweeted ESPN senior NBA writer Zach Lowe. That scarcity can push sides toward deals in some cases, and away from deals in others as agents up demands in anticipation of a hot market.
