Attacking the SNP for failing to reach its target of one million vaccinations by the end of the month, Mr Neil hit out at the SNP for initially criticising the UK Government for excluding itself from the EU’s vaccine procurement plan. As of February 2, the SNP reported they had completed 610,778 vaccinations. In contrast, there have been 8,362,868 in England. Highlighting the failure of the SNP in contrast to England, Mr Neil quipped the party may want to revise its comments regarding the UK’s vaccine strategy.
Sore throat In a group of around 3,500 people who had the new variant, 35 per cent said they had a cough, while 32 per cent said they were fatigued and 25 per cent experienced main in the muscles. In addition, 21,8 per cent had a sore throat. This can be compared to a similar survey conducted with around 2,500 people who had the old variant, where just 28 per cent said they suffered from a cough, with 29 per cent reporting fatigue. Muscle pain was prominent in 21 per cent of people, with a sore throat being reported from just 19 per cent. Are the new variants more dangerous?
NHS Tayside investigation after children given out of date flu vaccine

An investigation has been launched after children were given an out of date flu jab at a Dundee medical centre.
NHS Tayside has promised to carry out a “comprehensive” review into how the blunder occurred.
A “small number” of children were given an expired flu vaccination at Ryehill Health Centre, St Peter Street in January.
The medicine was out of date by just one day and the health board insists any risk is “negligible”.
With its pristine beaches and close-knit community, the small Hebridean island of Barra is often held up as the archetypal rural idyll.
But in recent weeks the 1200-strong community has found itself at the heart of a serious Covid-19 outbreak. Three cases were reported on 13 January and by last Wednesday that number had risen to 50.
On Friday, with the hospital on Lewis reaching capacity, Health Secretary Jeanne Freeman announced that the whole of the Western Isles would move into level four lockdown conditions with immediate effect.
So on Barra there have been no children playing on football fields in recent weeks and only the odd walker can be seen on beaches or in the hills, says local resident Jessie MacNeil.
