To the Editor: Southbury First Selectman Jeff Manville is coasting his way to this month’s Republican caucus. His strategy appears to be ignoring the theft of town fuel, ignoring his harassment of the Board of Selectmen’s lone female member and ignoring the nepotism of hiring of his own daughter to an unannounced, no-compete town job. Does Mr. Manville think that ignoring these issues will make them go away? Or, could it be that we do not hear a defense of these missteps because no one is willing to hitch their wagon to Jeff Manville any longer? The overwhelming majority of those who supported Manville with their time and their money have walked away.
