CLEVELAND, Ohio Cuyahoga County Council on Tuesday confirmed County Executive Armond Budish’s pick of Roberta Duarte as a board member for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority, a choice that drew a thumbs-up from transit advocates who want more rider representation on the board.
Duarte, a program manager at JumpStart Inc., will fill the vacancy left by Justin Bibb, whose term expired earlier this year amid his bid for Cleveland mayor. She was one of four trustee candidates recommended to Budish by advocacy group Clevelanders for Public Transit because she is a frequent RTA rider.
