WORTHINGTON Worthington High School students have been greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many couldn’t go to school, lost motivation and had some challenges with mental health.
“I think students are struggling because it’s a different learning environment,” said Lakeyta Swinea, WHS school counselor. “Students have to learn at home where there could be a lot of distractions and a lot of personal issues that students are facing. I think it’s just that whole change in how students are being taught as well. Having to look at a screen all day. It’s very hard learning how to adapt to that change.”
