The following observances and ceremonies have been scheduled in Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties to remember those who have served in armed forces.

Kingston: Memorial Day Candlelight Ceremony, 8 p.m., County Building, 244 Fair St., honoring Ulster County service members. Guest speaker Maj. Gen. Timothy LaBarge, Commander of the New York Air National Guard.
May 30
City of Newburgh: Memorial Day Parade members, led by David McTamaney, honoring deceased veterans will visit 17 area cemeteries and monuments for wreath laying and services with a color guard. Motorcade will depart from the former American Legion Hall, 62 Grand St. at 8:30 a.m. and proceed to area cemeteries to place wreaths and flags.
