Stargazing event to light up lockdown life FAMILIES will still have a chance to explore the universe in a stargazing event this month. The event is usually held at Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard however has been cancelled due to lockdown restrictions. Instead, the virtual Pompey Stargazing 2021 event will host a range of online activities from January 25- 31. It is a free event run by the University of Portsmouth’s Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation (ICG). An audio guide of the night sky and a live Facebook Q&A with ICG members, are amongst the variety of interactive activities that will be fun for all the family and can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home.
