Neymar has hit out at referee Jeremie Pignard after being banned from the French Cup final for an accumulation of yellow cards.
Paris Saint-Germain secured their place in the Coupe de France final after recording a penalty shootout victory over Montpellier on Wednesday evening.
Neymar, who entered the field as an 84th-minute substitute for Alessandro Florenzi, scored an all-important penalty in the shootout but will take no part in the showpiece final after being suspended for the tie.
The Brazilian superstar was booked within minutes taking to the pitch for committing a foul that saw him pick up a one-match suspension for an accumulation of cards this season.
What did Neymar say?
In an Instagram story, Neymar posted a message in Portuguese which translates as: I would like to understand the reasoning of the guy who takes care of bookings in France! That deserves applause. What a mess.
It was accompanied by three facepalm emojis.
Why has Neymar been suspended?
Neymar picked up a booking despite only playing four minutes of the semi-final against Montpellier, having been introduced as an 86th-minute substitute by manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The Brazilian was sent on after Andy Delort s late equaliser for Montpellier made it 2-2, with the game eventually going to penalties. PSG triumphed 6-5 in the shoot-out to progress to the final.
