Kewanee man arrested on multiple charges, child pornography

KEWANEE — An investigation by the Kewanee Police Department led to the arrest of a Kewanee man on Tuesday, according to a press release issued Thursday.
On Feb. 2, the KPD concluded an investigation of suspected child pornography and solicitcation of a minor. Arrested was Jeremy Debord, 39 of Kewanee.
The police received an initial complaint from the Department of Child and Family Services on Dec. 21. 2020. The complaint was forwarded to the KPD where detectives began their investigation.
“During subsequent interviews and investigation, detectives developed probable cause to get a search warrant for Debord’s electronic data storage,” the release read.
