The Little Rock School Board on Wednesday selected four applicants to interview for the position of superintendent out of a slate of five recommended by consultants.

Consultants to the Little Rock School Board early Wednesday evening recommended a slate of five educators to be considered by the board to replace Superintendent Mike Poore, who is retiring later this year.

A dozen people from multiple states -- two with previous experience in Arkansas -- are candidates for the position of Little Rock School District superintendent.
