A Columbus man who was found guilty on Aug. 24 of election falsification in Colfax County District Court was sentenced on Wednesday, Oct. 11, to a $10,000 fine. Colfax County District Court Judge Christina M. Marroquin sentenced Larry L. Divis on Wednesday, opting to not sentence him to any prison time.

A 12-person jury took only 58 minutes to render a guilty verdict against Larry L. Divis, of Columbus, who was accused of illegally registering to vote and voting in the Village of Richland in the 2020 general election despite really living in Columbus.
