Specifically acknowledge nighttime uses. So were currently in conversations, but there is no firm proposal there. But i think we will need to address that. Great. Commissioner dooley . I just wanted to see if you could clarify the 50 from a restaurant rule versus the 300 for an appeal . How does that work . Why are they different . Sure. So right now the 300 from a restaurant i wont call it a criteria. Its discretionary. If someone objects dpw can consider that. Its a casebycase kind of thing, where they might say, im just again making this up, that there are already three chinese restaurants around here and we dont think it would be good to put a chinese food truck there. So they can take that into account and require a certain buffer. This would say they can still do that, but regardless, it has to be at least 50. So the two are not really inconsistent. It would be presumptively 50 at a minimum. But there might be some circumstances or based on the specifics of the area and whatever
Difference. We know that its been woefully lacking information concerning criminal records. Only eight states that really supply the vast majority of information in that system. So i think that alone is going to make a jay or difference. You are talking about the administrative part. The president talked about the fact that its going to be up to the people. What can you do in your own community . What do you do now . On a personal level, certainly communicating back home in philadelphia what the president has laid out. Just yesterday as you may know, i talked about a set of principles the sandy hook premises we will be following in philadelphia trying to change and influence corporate behavior and business practices, gun manufacturers, distribute toirs and retail ters. This will be a topic of conversation at the u. S. Conference of mayors. So mayors from all across america, small, medium and large cities will be joining this effort to move forward with regard to what the president has
Restaurant in my district, casa indian eatery has a wonderful brickandmortar restaurant and food truck and trying to compartmentalize you are a food truck person and Public School parent and brickandmortar restaurant. Their truck is sometimes pulled up right in front of their restaurant. Obviously they have given themselves permission. But i think we are seeing that more and more, that restaurants, food purveyors want to have different ways of doing whether its a brickandmortar restaurant opening up a stand at a Farmers Market to sell food there or opening up a food truck and the key is really flexibility and understanding that food in 2012 San Francisco and america is not the same as it was in 1992 in terms of how people get their food and what people want. And the last thing that we want to do is say okay, this is the way it is now. And this is the way it has always been. And so therefore, cutting off new and innovative approaches to providing people with the food that they want. And
Occupancy . I believe its around 80 . Let me see if i can find that for you as well. I dont have all the statistics on the tourism industry. Im sorry. That is all right. Thank you. Im more of the finance person on the project, but i could definitely get that information to you. Commissioner riley well followup with both of those questions with an email response later this week. Okay. Commissioner obrien . Thank you for the report. I just wanted to ask about this amendment to allow district term up to 40 years. So i just wanted to make sure i understand what that means and secondly, what is the situation today . So this is kind of the question, were amending it so we can create an ordinance that allows us to go into a debt for a longer period of time with bonds than we can do today . In other words, up to 40 years that we cant do to, is that right . The state law allows bonds to be levied by assessment districts and said that the districts can be expire before the bonds are repaid, but
