Airlines, cruz and retailers all fell during yesterday sessions those have been the volatile stocks if you look at u. S. Equity futures this morning, youll see green arrows the dow indicated up by 28 points nasdaq up by 24 and s p up 4. 5 yesterday, the dow was down 170. During the course of the morning, we were watching the futures and up as much as 250 in the morning. Weve been keeping an eye what is happening with the treadsry markets. Get started here this morning. Look, i think that we are actually experiencing something that we havent lately which is that the analysts are almost entirely positive, and yet there is an underlying current both from the unemployment claims, which they are never going to be good until we get a vaccine. And also a general on wee that we dont have it under control, there i am talking about covid19 so why own anything . I think that thats an incorrect view there were many many piece this is morning that talk about what i can only say i am going to borrow a term from larry kudlow, green shoouts. There is much thats good in the economy. It is just not where we thought it was going to be, david. It is not all encompassing, but there are some areas that are very strong. All right so go over those and explain to me why they are not what we thought they would be. I think we thought travel and leisure would come back. That cruiseships would come back, that there would be Corporate Travel only on
Looking quite strong, up over 1 this morning same thing with the shanghai composite. Then european equities right now are also in the green. The cac ass off, ftses off i spoke too soon i looked at the ftse beforehand. The ftse is up, the dax is up. Everything else is down just marginally well, here are the big stories were watching for you today. We are continuing to follow a developing story out of Southern California new evacuations have been ordered as a string of massive wildfires continue to grow the thomas fire, the biggest in the area, still on the move. Officials say the blaze is just 10 contained. Its already burned more than 360 square miles of land we will continue to follow this developing story, bring you any updates and developments as we get them. On this weeks economic agenda, tomorrow, look for the november Producer Price index. The fed also kicks off a twoday meeting. On wednesday well get cpi as well as the fed decision this latest Economic Forecast and Janet Yellens
Mixed, kind of nothing actually. Isnt that funny. All minimal moves. Lets call it a complex more or less in europe flat at this point. 10year note yield, we had the big employment number on friday. Didnt really see that Much Movement though, did we . Its funny, i spent a lot of time talking about the bonds on friday on mad money, the old days what it would have been been like and it would have been selffulfilling and were we have a great economy so you know rates have to go up immediately. It did not occur and its a different pattern but weve seen for the past 30 years.
