Water and food distribution sites open across the Houston area KTRK UP NEXT
As the Houston area continues to deal with the winter storm recovery, multiple groups have organized free water or food distribution events throughout the city.
The list below will be updated with new information as we get it.

We will be having another Water Distribution Point tomorrow morning, Monday, February 22, 2021.

But even as temperatures rise today, Houston is still not out of the woods.
The majority of Harris County is still under a boil water advisory and residents are being told to conserve electricity use.
Below is a list of free resources in Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery and Galveston counties to help you or someone you know get through the weekend.

Most of Houston has its power back as of Friday morning. But many Houstonians are still struggling without electricity, while water pressure remains low for people throughout most of the city, and still others deal with burst pipes. City government, public officials and community organizations are hosting events with food, water and supplies for people still unable to boil water.

As of 6 a.m. Tuesday, several cars were seen already in line for a food distribution at NRG Stadium. The gates weren t set to open until 7 a.m. and the distribution was set to start at 9 a.m. One woman, who also happens to be the first in line, said she s been there since 2:20 a.m.
The woman asked to be kept anonymous, but she did tell ABC13 that she s there because she has four kids, a mother and a brother to feed.
Since the winter storm last week, she said she s lost a lot but she s thankful for her neighbors.
