H&M is set to close 350 stores around the world, but has not confirmed its plans for New Zealand. The company told investors it planned to close 350 stores this year while opening 100 new stores, the majority of which were in emerging markets such as Panama. H&M’s global sales fell by 18 per cent in the year to November 30, dragging profits down 88 per cent after stores were forced to close during the Covid-19 pandemic, the annual report says. An H&M spokeswoman confirmed to Australian media that it planned to close at least three stores in Australia, she declined to comment about the future of stores in New Zealand.
