The Government of Dominica continues to work towards fulfilling its promise of building an international airport.
The village of Wesley was chosen as the site and works have begun to relocate residents of the area.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit stated that these has been a long awaited project spanning over three decades and numerous governments.

Chairman of the International Airport Development Company (IADC) Mr. Benoit Bardouille says plans for the construction of an international airport continues to materialize for Dominica. Plans for the international airport places the major development in the village of Wesley, which has caused the relocation of many of the villages residences.
Prime Minister of Dominica, Honourable Roosevelt Skerrit led a delegation on a site visit to the Jo Burton area where the Government plans to relocate persons who will be directly impacted by the construction of the international airport.
