Beverly L. Miller-Hallo

Beverly L. Miller-Hallo, 62, of Hopewell passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at UPMC Bedford Hospital. She was born on Sept. 16, 1958, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Rose LaClair Miller. Beverly was a lover of life who enjoyed hosting family dinners, going to the beach, and cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She was a people person who loved to talk and laugh. Beverly never met a person whom she did not like. Surviving to cherish her memory are her sons, Mike (Tracy) Hallo of Rostraver and Jon Hallo of Morgantown, W.Va.; two granddaughters, Avery and Gabriella Hallo; two sisters, JoAnn Miller and Rosalee Shaw; a brother, Charles Miller; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jan 7, 2021 BISMARCK – Gov. Doug Burgum has selected the recipients of the 2021 Governor’s Awards for the Arts, from 27 nominations. The six selected are as follows: – Arts in Education: JoAnn Miller, Fargo – Arts Organization: Minot Area Council of the Arts, Minot – Individual Achievement: Melissa Gordan, Bismarck, and David Trottier, Rugby – Individual Cultural Heritage: Rex Cook, Dickinson – Private Business: Enderlin Municipal Fine Arts Association with Maryhill Manor, Enderlin. The Governor’s Awards for the Arts were established in 1977 as a way of recognizing individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the arts throughout the state. Recipients are chosen for their efforts to expand arts opportunities to new audiences, create an appreciation for North Dakota’s cultural heritage, make the arts more central to education and an integral part of community life, as well as the length of service within the state.
