No 4 Softball Takes Down No 15 Florida in Front of Capacity Crowd

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 4 Florida State softball team (40-8) picked up another win with a 5-3 victory over the No. 15 Florida Gators in front of a crowd of 1,836, the third largest crowd in school history, at JoAnne Graf Field on Wednesday evening. The Seminoles have now won four-straight games against Florida which ties the Seminoles longest win streak in the series. . TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 4 Florida State softball team (34-7, 12-1) extended its winning streak to nine games with a 6-1 win over Virginia (27-14, 7-9) in front of 1,413 fans at JoAnne Graf Field. The Seminoles have now won 17-straight games against Virginia and have on 25 out of the last 26 games against the Cavaliers. In its first trip to Tallahassee since 2015, the Cavaliers came out swinging with a game-opening triple, and the runner would eventually score to give the Cavaliers a 1-0 lead. The Seminoles responded with a two-out rally as Kalei Harding hit a double, and the Noles drew three-straight walks to tie the game at one. After a scoreless second inning, the Noles threatened again in the third inning as Hallie Wacaser walked and back-to-back infield singles from Michaela Edenfield and Mack Leonard loaded the bases for Katie Dack. With great pitching from both Ali DuBois and Allison Royalty, the Seminoles didn’t let the Dolphins earn a single run. Starting off in the circle, Ali DuBois, kept Jacksonville University off the board. Hallie Wacaser lead off the bottom of the first inning and walked to first. In an aggressive move she stole to second and continued to third. Michaela Edenfield stepped up to the plate and hit one into center field bringing Hallie Wacaser home to start the Seminoles off strong with their first run of the night. Edenfield continues to lead the Seminoles in RBIs, with this being her 31st of the season. No 4 Softball Returns to Conference Play with Home Series Against Virginia

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - After a nonconference midweek matchup on Wednesday, the fourth-ranked Florida State softball team (33-7, 11-1) returns to ACC play with a home series against Virginia. Friday's game is set for 6 p.m. on the ACC Network. The two teams will play on Saturday at 1 p.m. and the series finale will take place at noon on Sunday. Both Saturday's and Sunday's games can be seen on ACC Network Extra. The Seminoles are currently on an eight-game winning streak and entered the top five in both major polls. The Seminoles are on top of the ACC with an 11-1 record and are two games ahead of Clemson in the standings with 12 ACC games remaining. Series History FSU leads the all-time series 89-18. Florida State Hits the Road for Top 10 Showdown with Clemson

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - For just the second time in school history and the first time in ACC play, the No. 6 Florida State softball team (29-7, 8-1) will play a three-game series against a top five team on the road when they head to Clemson, S.C., to face No. 4 Clemson (36-1, 12-0). The two teams will play on Thursday (6 p.m.), Friday (7 p.m.) and Saturday (noon) at McWhorter Stadium. Both Thursday's (ACC Network) and Friday's games (ESPN2) can be seen on national television with Saturday's game being streamed on ACC Network Extra. With Clemson entering its four season as a softball program, the two teams have only played four times, all which came during the 2022 season.
