Welcome to one nation, i am brian kilmeade. Senator joe manchin, why he somewhat embarrassed by embers of his own party and what he would do different from the president. Larkin army anarchy on College Campuses and what he would do about it how cops are handling it. The magic pill, ozempic. It works for him but maybe not for you. We will discuss all about so we start with good news. Fear is gone and freedom is ba back. Specifically fear of being canceled is gone and freedom to criticize is return. There was a time when society was so manic when you said one thing and correct, your canceled. Im here to take this week im convinced the long era of diversity, equity, inclusion, di and cancel culture is coming to a close. Why do i say that . Three words. Tom, brady, rose. Ive never seen inglewood so white. Jesus christ. [laughter] its so [bleep] white and here. [laughter] looks like a Bruce Springsteen concert let out. Terrified to be here tonight not because of this but because her kids ar
in the brett kavanaugh situation. do you expect a similar outcome when it comes to party support? you got a lot of senators who complain and concerned about the process but ultimately come around and support the republican position? i think this is a little bit different than brett kavanaugh. but at the end of the day, i do think most most senators fall in line with their parties. but i would still keep a close eye, particularly on susan collins and lisa murkowski. and mitt romney on the republican side. and keep a close eye on doug jones and joe manchin and kyrsten sinema. i think they have particular leadership, particularly those republican swing state senators. they have a lot to consider. they can t simply win their elections by maintaining their base. they have to actually win independents and moderate voters, in order to survive
work with moderate democrats, like doug jones, not just him, joe manchin, careers stekjersti. and in the house, for example, as i m a senior member of the w.h.i.p. team, we did not try to persuade any member of the house to vote one way or the other on the question of impeachment. nor did we try to persuade members as to whether we should open the impeachment process up in the first place. we came to our own conclusions on our own tamimetable. i think the senate, in a case like this, every senator is going to have to answer not just to their constituents at this motel, but as i ve said in the past, in the future. in my case, i think about my grandchildren. i don t think we want to try to persuade senators to vote one way or the other. what we need to do is make sure
they approach the senate trial. you have to remember, the president prizes loyalty above all most, ryan. that caused a lot of problems with the president but there are a very many republicans to be watching. and i will tell you lisa murkowski is another one. given the comments that she s made over the last couple of days, especially criticizing senate majority leader mitch mcconnell who is an important member to watch. she voted against brett kavanaugh and also voted against obamacare. she s a republican that s moderate. and she comes from a state that prizes an independent senator. i will also tell you there are a couple of democrats to be watching. one of them, of course, joe manch manchin, from west virginia, he s one who democrats cannot plan to stay in their caucus when it comes to votes. he s not facing re-election in 2020.
a news conference that demanded that mitch mcconnell hold a vote on the bipartisan background check passed back in february. then an hour from now, mcconnell and his leadership team are going to meet with president trump to talk about the fall agenda. that would give them an opportunity to hear from the president himself about what he may or may not be willing to back, including action on guns. senate republicans including mcconnell say they re not making a single move without president trump. to make a law, you have to have a presidential signature. and so, we are we had a briefing at lunch from eric gulen from down at the white house. they are working on coming up with a proposal that the president will sign. until that happens, all of this is theatrics. well, republicans are not ruling out some kind of movement. neither is democratic senate joe
