An old battle for a project withdrawn from city council consideration by a developer has resurfaced in county government days away from the municipal election.

Campaign reports for the fourth quarter and pre-election financial filings reveal which municipal candidates raised the most support from individual contributors and businesses in Norman.

The 2022 municipal election cycle has prompted candidate endorsements from Norman organizations and officials, including the Fraternal Order of Police, which reversed its decision to not endorse a mayoral candidate.

Apr 25, 2021 The City of Norman received 10 applications for the interim Ward 2 seat, which has been vacant twice in one year. At least two candidates applied for the second time, and two were candidates who vied for the seat during the February special election. The application window closed Friday.
