GOP lawmakers are doing everything they can to avoid paying fines for running afoul of rules imposed by Democrats that require masks and security screenings before entering the House chamber.

Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) is finding that Democrats who once worked with him on bipartisan bills no longer want to touch them with a 10-foot pole if he’s involved. 

The request comes a month after Yahoo News reported on a March bulletin sent out by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS). The House approved legislation last week to set up a commission to investigate the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, when a pro-Trump mob overwhelmed Capitol Police, invaded the building and forced the evacuation of lawmakers.
