NSP says the trooper was not inside of the vehicle at the time of the collision and was not injured, nor was the semi-driver that hit the patrol unit. 

It was a busy start to the weekend for Nebraska State Troopers as they responded to over 150 weather-related incidents.

State troopers responded to more than 150 weather-related incidents Friday, mostly to help motorists, on Nebraska highways.

Over the summer, spokespeople said Nebraska may be reimbursed for sending troopers to the southern border. But behind the scenes, there was an understanding that the state would pay.

The Nebraska State Patrol and the Nebraska Department of Transportation remind drivers to be prepared for winter driving conditions.
