I spent the best part of an afternoon and evening reading a fascinating essay, The Wires That Bind, by Australian-American engineer Saul Griffith. He is a MacArthur Grant recipient, inventor and policy-maker who has spoken to various American administrations in his time in the US. However, what really fascinated me was Griffithโs return to Australia during the Covid pandemic.
