The jury found the Muncie man guilty of a lesser charge, conspiracy to commit dealing in a narcotic drug.

A jury in April 2021 found Turner guilty of murder in the September 2018 stabbing death of Chris E. Burgess Jr., a 27-year-old Muncie resident.

Chase E. Adams, 25, was accused of killing Rex A. Morrison — outside the victims home in the 2300 block of South Hackley Street — in October 2020.

Tuesdays order noted a "rapid decline in confirmed daily cases, hospitalizations and deaths" related to COVID-19 in Delaware County.

A Delaware Circuit Court 4 jury last year found Brady Turner guilty of murder in the September 2018 slaying of a 27-year-old Muncie man.

Jury trials had not been held since mid-January due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The victims skeletonized remains were found last October in Tennessee.

The six-year executed sentence was the maximum allowed under the terms of a plea agreement.

The judges found "an emergency still exists" based on "an increasing number of new cases and (the) positivity rate in Delaware County."
