While most were recovering from a hearty Thanksgiving meal and putting up their Christmas decorations, one Dickinson man's day became a harrowing nightmare for him and his family.
What started as youthful rowdiness pulling a go-cart behind a shackled up six-speed, manual GTO, turned potentially deadly when Dawson Kram's hand inexplicably became entangled in the slack of the rope. In an instant the 400 horses thundering under the hood of the car pulled the rope taut and by proxy ripping the sleeve of his jacket completely off. Stunned, Dawson soon would discover that it wasn't merely the jacket that had been severed, but his arm below the elbow.
