I apologize for the graphic nature of this next photo. This is vomit along the back wall of the alley. The photo was taken december 3rd at 2 45 p. M. And the final photo, this is a photo of a beer bottle in a paperbag near the backdoor of 61 post street. The photo was taken december 4th, at 5 55 p. M. And included in my briefs with a picture of a beer can, taken in almost the exact same spot a few days earlier. Thank you. Is there any other Public Comment . Seeing none well start rebuttal and miss utt, you have six minutes of rebuttal. So again i would like to focus on the handicap issues. I am going to need access to the rear door of my building more frequently coming up in the future. And if the gate remains, i need it to become handicapped accessible both in and out, if the driver needs to come pick me up, they need to pull into the alley and i need to be able to buzz them in. I cant hand out keys to all my drivers. There will be a lot of people who will have to help me. So having a
They use the front door. If they want to use the backdoor, and they want to go out of the backdoor, the back gate, they can easily access going out. If they wanted to transport furniture or something, they could open the gate from the inside. They have been offered keys. I know that most of the residents in 642 jones have keys to the gate. I have issued keys to the backdoor for every person that has a key to the gate. I am asking if i could speak for the seven minute because im also representing hawthorne stone and also representing the building and also a resident of the building. Over the last few hearings, the gate has been required to be opened at 6 30 in the morning or 7 30 in the morning and closed at 6 30 at night. This hasnt stopped the activity during the day. Its still going on. I dont want to gross you out what actually has to be cleaned out back there, but its still going on. I dont understand why the gate has to be opened, if keys are issued. We dont keep our front gate op
That would a lot easier. A phone call on your telephone . Its just explaining to me and when you put a buzzer and pretty press the button i dont know. Im looking for the easiest solution here. Not something too complicated. The front door to your apartment has a buzzer system . Yes, but that only allows access to the front door. I understand. I think you indicated last time that the elevator only goes to the front . Incorrect, it goes to the basement . It goes to the basement . Yes. I think you still have a little time left. I dont have any more questions. Can anybody else speak for me . Can i share my time . Yes, you can share your time. Go ahead. Commissioner, to your question, did we contact the other parties . The answer is yes. My wife phoned mr. Flynns office and hawthorne stone and told them we would be available to discuss the gate. And its not that were opposed to the gate. Its that unfortunately, we no longer trust mr. Flynn. Every time he has done something he has made it wo
We did the load studies for the people coming and going and access and push bars and the keys. So its pretty easy to walk in and out of the door, it works and it can be accessible, if it needs to be. Im not sure how you would get a wheelchair in the building once its in there, but its not a problem. We have to do something with the grade there, but we havent finished a lot of this stuff and somebody was talking about the structure. We havent completed it because we were told to stop on it. Which they are all Pretty Simple things to complete, the structure. I think its a good thing for the building. It keeps them clean and safe and its for our tenants and we have to provide a clean and quiet and safe place for our tenants, who are stuck in the middle there. I dont live there, but i do see the problems and know the cost it takes to keep it cleaned up. Dpw used to powerwash it, but then they didnt have the funds to do it. The graffiti, the drug dealing, everything that chuck said and capt
Gate there and shut it. I am al, the property manager for 642 jones. Since i have been involved with the property, my colleague was involved with it prior to me when the gate went in. But from what i have seen and what i have heard from people and tenants in the building and people in the neighborhood is that the vast majority of people understand and realize its a great improvement for that block and for the neighborhood. And i understand that there is some issues that miss utt is dealing with and some alterations or changes have been done to accommodate her. But i think you need to take into consideration what has been done to the area . And the benefit that it is providing for the city . The police department, the Fire Department are 100 behind it because they have seen the difference that it has made. We dont have piles of debris brought in by Homeless People setting up camp that could become a fire hazard and the criminal activity has disappeared for all of these reasons. And the
