The new Fayette County Jail is reaching the completion of construction with a chance for the public to take a facility tour before it’s fully operational.

While the newly constructed Fayette County Prison won’t officially begin housing inmates until the summer, officials held a tour and ceremonial ribbon cutting for the facility on Friday.

PITTSBURGH – An inmate worker at Fayette County Prison who was injured during a scheduled assignment and said prison officials both hid the extent of his injuries and subjected him to inhumane living conditions during his time of incarceration, has settled his case.
