The Supreme Court on Wednesday affirmed the election of Adamawa State governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. The apex court held that Governor Fintiri was validly elected in accordance with the provisions of the law. On January 29, SaharaReporters reported that the Supreme Court of Nigeria reserved judgment in the appeal filed by Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani of the All Progressives Congress (APC). A five-member panel led by John Okoro on Monday adjourned the matter for judgment after listening to the arguments of the parties in the matter.
