It’s January and the crowds are back at South Florida restaurants, but not the workers. Many believe the workers who left during the Covid pandemic were not eager to return to service work.

Another large office tower may be in the works for downtown West Palm Beach. The growth of the city is moving at a fast pace and earning the city a new nickname.

Inflation has been affecting people all over Florida and that includes small business that are paying more for their inventory while trying to refrain from passing that on to the consumer.

The action was taken at the board's regular meeting on Monday, Aug. 8.

As many Florida residents struggle to find affordable housing, there are still plenty of people moving to the Sunshine State. And more and more residents of Florida have roots in New York state.

To live, work, and play all within proximity, that's the ideal lifestyle for many who choose South Florida, but that dream is becoming a nightmare with rising rent prices. 

There is a housing crisis in America and South Florida, as often is the case, is a microcosm for all that has gone sideways during the COVID-19 era.
