Normally, there is enough two-way traffic between Sydney and Melbourne to make this domestic route the second busiest in the world. Last year, traffic was down to one or two flights a day. Now it is coming back...

Executive Traveller Here’s some backstory on the brawl brewing down under. You’ll find first the article from Rex CEO John Sharp, and then you can read Qantas CEO Alan Joyce’s retort below. John sounds like the guy running the punk upstart who is trying to stir up trouble. Nothing wrong with that. Alan sounds like an angry corporate CEO who is throwing barbs (safety, seriously?) and whining which is a very odd choice. It does not make Qantas look good at all. Image of the Week Oh my, ...

Jump to navigation By 04/28/2021 A neighbor appealed the Bolinas Community Land Trust’s downtown affordable housing project last week, citing concerns with the buildings’ impact on his property. The land trust is digging in its heels ahead of a Board of Supervisors hearing anticipated in early June, and said the appeal would delay the project by several months. The proposed eight-unit complex at 31 Wharf Road is large for Bolinas, but so is the need. The town is suffering from an ...

Dismiss Normal text size A tsunami-sized wave of opposition to Netflix’s docuseries Byron Baes really is the coastal disaster the US-owned streaming service never saw coming. But after plunging an already substantial investment into the series – which Netflix’s local director of content, former ABC executive Que Minh Luu dubbed a “no-brainer” – the streamin...

The number kept going up, and as it exceeded the nu...

In separate, harshly-worded columns published days apart in the Australian Financial Review, Rex deputy chairman John Sharp and Qantas group chief Alan Joyce did not mince words in criticising each other.
