A mob ransacked Soiraisham Chitaranjan’s house a day after he and two of his colleagues withdrew from the case in the High Court.

A Meitei group filed FIRs against authors of two books, claiming it was only a rebellion. Kukis say it is a way to question their history in the state.

There have been several other instances in the last couple of weeks where members of the community have been subject to legal action for their comments.
