SEATTLE (AP) — Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. is investing in the Seattle Mariners in a way he never has before.

Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. purchased shares in the Seattle Mariners franchise and joined the Mariners Partnership Group on Monday.

The Mariners announced Monday that club icon Ken Griffey Jr. has purchased shares in the franchise and joined the Mariners Partnership Group.

Griffey, who starred for the Mariners for over a decade, will be the franchises first new owner in over two decades.
