Paul Jewell has revealed that his long-term plan is to play the 4-4-2 formation with Town that he has favoured at his previous clubs. Since taking over at Portman Road last month, the former Bradford, Sheffield Wednesday, Wigan and Derby boss has set his side out in a 4-3-3 for all but fleeting spells of a couple of games.

Thirty years ago today Jason Dozzell became the youngest player to score a goal in the English top flight, a record which still stands. Aged just 16 years and 57 days, the Chantry High School pupil was given his debut as a sub and netted the final goal in a 3-1 home victory over Coventry City in the old First Division. TWTD caught up with Jason to find out what he recalls of that momentous day.

Town boss Mick McCarthy says his players won’t need reminding that tonight’s opponents Reading dished out their biggest thrashing in three years when the teams met at the Madejski Stadium earlier in the season. The Blues, who were soundly beaten 5-1 by the Royals on that Friday evening in September, will be looking to avenge that defeat, climb back into the top six and stretch their remarkable run of Tuesday night home victories to 16.
