I don’t care if you are Republican, Democrat, independent or otherwise. If one objectively examines the roster of leaders of the US, compared to the country’s past leadership, it is frightening.

There are a lot of good candidates for Gadsden city offices. They have all worked hard for your vote. Honor all candidates by voting on Election Day.

Gadsden has already paid more than $400,000 of taxpayer money to the Birmingham law firm, with more charges coming. How much taxpayer money is the GAA willing to spend to hide its involvement in this affair?

This project is exciting. It positions Gadsden State at the forefront of industrial development education in the state of Alabama.

If the GAA had met in open sessions instead of executive sessions, to conduct what should be normal business, all the excessive attorneys’ fees would not have been necessary.

I think Gadsden is stagnant, and is getting close to falling into the abyss of regression. The No. 1 factor in this swoon is economic development.

I have witnessed the courage, professionalism and dedication to duty of America’s best, twice. The U.S. Naval aviators and crews of America’s fighting ships are the best of the best.

Two lawsuits stemming from a once-proposed rendering plant in Etowah County appear to be at an end, with plaintiffs dropping their remaining motions.

I wish every American could witness the professionalism and courage of the men and women of the U.S. Navy.

If all players in the rendering fiasco had come to the people with the benefits and digressive elements involved, the need for a citizens’ organization would be negated, a mutually beneficial discourse could have been initiated and the pros and cons weighed by everyone.
