When summer hits kids are out of school but some kids are left without lunch. Children still need a nutritious meal in the summer months and sometimes that's the only nutritious meal they might get that day. The Summer Food Service Program provided by Texarkana Independent School District Child Nutrition Department means children and teens ages 18 and younger can get a healthy meal throughout the summer at no cost. They just need to show up at one of the many locations around town.
