From April 3 through April 20, 2023, Nevada’s law enforcement agencies throughout the state will be Joining Forces and citing distracted drivers. Nevada law clearly states that any use of a handheld electronic device — cell phone, mp3 player, GPS device, etc. — while driving is illegal.

The Sparks Police Department says it will be cracking down on the use of cell phones while driving through most of April.

St. Patricks Day is Tuesday and green beer will be filling pint sized glasses in pubs and bars throughout Carson City, as is the tradition. Revelers can also count on a large presence of sheriffs office deputies and Nevada Highway Patrol troopers who will be targeting unsafe drivers on the road.
