In the tussle for control between the two top leaders of Tamil Nadu's main opposition party AIADMK, the Madras High Court is likely to decide today on a petition by O Panneerselvam to stall a meeting that his rival E Palaniswamy has called.

Putting an end to the dual-leadership model in the AIADMK, Edappadi K Palaniswami, also known as EPS, was today elevated as the interim general secretary of the party. Rival leader O Panneerselvam or OPS has been expelled for "anti-party" activities.
