Jonas Bare and Cynthia Hovsepin, who went missing in the Alaska wildness for 8 days, ran out of food quickly, didn't sleep, and encountered bears while they tried to get back to civilization.

Jonas Bare said "by simple bad choices" he and Cynthia Hovsepian's three-hour hike turned into eight days of trying to survive in the woods near Fairbanks.

Fairbanks, Alaska (KINY) - On Aug. 12, the Fairbanks Police Department requested the assistance of the Alaska State Troopers on a missing persons case that originated in their area of responsibility.
