Dozens of residents booed, hissed, insulted, and at times even threatened Glenwood Springs City Council as it reviewed the second reading of an annexation and rezoning of nearly 16 acres in West Glenwood for the proposed 480 Donegan project.

In a landslide, Glenwood Springs voters shot down a proposed airport mill levy and debt request.

The public could again have an opportunity to comment on the proposed annex and rezoning of the 480 Donegan Project, Mayor Jonathan Godes said.

The Glenwood Springs City Council approved the annexation and rezoning of nearly 16 acres in West Glenwood for the proposed 480 Donegan project.

If approved by the voters, about $5.5 million raised through taxes and bonds could be used to fund the Glenwood Springs airport runway tunnel, and approximately $7 million could go to airport improvements, such as a new FBO, hangars, a fuel farm, perimeter fencing, taxiway lighting and seal coating for the runway every five years for the next 20.
