WASHINGTON -- The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol has agreed to defer its attempt to get hundreds of pages of records from the Trump administration, holding off at the request of the Biden White House.

The White House raised concerns that releasing some documents could compromise national security, executive privilege.

The White House said some of the records the House asked for potentially could concern state secrets or executive privilege.
