Jordan Scott Mello, 29, Minot, is charged in district court in Minot with Class B felony intent to deliver heroin, Class B felony possession of a controlled substance within a correctional facility, Class C felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle and placing others at risk of death or serious injury, and Class B misdemeanor driving with a suspended driver’s license on Monday.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court by Ward County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Brian Kellebrew, the sheriff’s office had received a report at 9:50 p.m. Monday that a vehicle was parked outside a residence in the county with lights on and the ignition on but it hadn’t been moved for an hour. Kellebrew responded and found Mello asleep or unconscious behind the wheel of the vehicle, which had Minnesota plates. Mello woke up when Kellebrew started knocking on the door and Mello reached under the seat. Kellebrew asked Mello to roll down the window but
