on to police. the suspect drove through several city streets before taking the chase on to interstate 280 down to pacifica and back up to san fransisco. finally coming to an end when he crashed the cab into a pole. police say the suspect then took off on foot and escaped police. as of right now there isn t a suspect description. the cab driver was able to drive his vehicle away safely. if you know anything about this case at all you re asked to call san fransisco police. live in san fransisco, ktvu channel 2 news. oakland police are looking for the driver who crashed into a pole overnight cutting power to thousands of people. this pickup truck snapped the power bole at foothill boulevard and church street around 1:30. the transformer blew, and people actually saw the flash from miles away. pg&e says at first 3500 customers lost power. crews restored power to all but a few customers around the downed pole and hope to replace the pole and fully restore power by this afternoon
