Holyoke s William Glidden launches his mayoral campaign Monday, April 19. Glidden became the fourth declared candidate for the vacant seat.

HOLYOKE William Glidden launched his mayoral run Monday afternoon, becoming the fourth official candidate ahead of November’s election.
Glidden, 28, made his announcement at the home of Joseph O’Hare, a longtime family friend. He joins declared candidates City Councilors Rebecca Lisa and Michael J. Sullivan and School Committee member Devin Sheehan.
“I’m here because of the sacrifices borne by my own family and by countless others, people who did what little they could to make the worlds a little freer and more generous,” Glidden told his supporters. “People who, with all their flaws and limitations, nonetheless tried to build something lasting.”
