Una Irene Gast passed away February 27th in her home in Carson City. She was born on April 6th, 1922 in Caribou Maine. She spent the first part of her life in Maine and New England. Una moved to Chicago and Detroit and worked for the auto industry.

POLK COUNTY, FL — Random Acts of Kindness Day, set this year for Wednesday, Feb. 17, sees an amplified importance in 2021 as people in Polk County and throughout the world continue to struggle with the coronavirus pandemic that is now more than 11 months old.
Among the ways to make a difference on Random Acts of Kindness Day this year is to make sure your neighbors in Polk County have enough to eat.
For about 111,000 people in Polk County, food budgets are stretched thin from job losses, business closures and other economic havoc wrought by the pandemic. That's according to a projection by Feeding America, the nation's largest hunger relief organization, which notes that as many as 50 million Americans faced food insecurity at 2020's end.

BROADALBIN — The parishioners and guests of St. Josephs Catholic Church, 7 North St., are reminded that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, seating at Christmas Masses is limited this year. The provisions have been made to ensure that everyone who wants to do so will have an opportunity to celebrate this holiday.
Because the church seating capacity is capped at 75 persons, two additional Masses have been scheduled for Christmas Eve: Masses are at 4 p.m. 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve and at 10:30 a.m. on Christmas Day.
