Seward school district prepares for COVID vaccine
The school district has been working closely with their local health department and Memorial Healthcare Systems to coordinate the perfect plan.

With a second COVID–19 vaccine getting approved, more shipments and doses are making their way all across the United States.
It’s got those in the 1B group of the state’s distribution plan preparing for their turn.
“I think it’s just about being, having to be flexible. So, that’s one of the things we noticed throughout this whole pandemic is that things can change on a dime, and that you have to be willing to change if needed to be,” Seward School District Superintendent, Dr. Josh Fields, said.

The 2020 Rule 5 Draft is now in the books, and there’s no doubt the 18 players taken in the Major League phase on Thursday, not to mention the 14 teams acquiring players, hope they stick in the big leagues for all of 2021 and beyond.
History tells us that’s unlikely to happen. While a solid percentage of Rule 5 picks get at least some big league time the season following their selection, it’s not so easy to stick around for an entire year. Below is the last Rule 5 selection (or player traded for immediately following the Rule 5 Draft) for each team to stick with that team all year. This was no small task, as we had to go digging far into the past to find a player who fit the bill for some teams.

HOUSTON The Astros have had their share of Rule 5 Draft successes in the past 50 years, a list that incudes left-handed pitcher Wesley Wright, center fielder Willy Taveras and right-handed pitcher Xavier Hernandez. Those were the outliers.
Most of the players the club has taken in the Rule 5 Draft over the years didn’t reach the Majors or didn’t have much of an impact when they did, which isn’t an unusual outcome for the Rule 5 Draft. Players taken in the Major League phase must remain on that club’s active roster for the entire next season or be offered back to the former club.
