That was just one of about a dozen mud slides reported in the Santa Cruz Mountains during the past 24 hours. The rain also washed away part of bear creek road a quarter mile north of highway 9. Traffic is moving again along highway 1 in pacifica after a mud slide shut down the road for almost 14 hours. The slide was first reported late last night near delmar avenue.
