The prestigious award recognizes individuals or organizations whose achievements have led to a significant and lasting impact on behalf of California’s deserts. But the former professional musician is opposed to an upcoming pair of concerts in the amphitheater of Joshua Tree National Park s Indian Cove Campground. The concerts are organized by Yawning Man bassist and Fatso Jetson frontman Mario Lalli as a benefit for the Joshua Tree National Park Association.
Through its Desert Institute, the association offers classes in the park taught by experts in natural sciences, cultural history and the arts.
The Beneath the Desert Sky Summer Concert Series is scheduled to kick off
