Around the same time at a different Atlantic Coast Conference school, Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski learned about the postponement and expressed his view that college basketball should reconsider whether stopping the season during the pandemic.
Izzo on Thursday told the Tiki and Tierney show on CBS Radio, however, his mind has not changed about whether college basketball should be playing. His opinion: “The greatest mental health I think is when an athlete is in athletics.”
“I love Mike, I agree with him on a lot of things,” Izzo said. “I don t know what our opinions are, but mine is I hope we can keep playing, and I hope we can teach the world that you gotta do it the right way.”
