Leitrim digger driver brings €3,200 to court to escape conviction Reporter:   ); A young Manorhamilton digger driver, who came up with a sum of €2,300 for charity, after pleading guilty to stealing a wallet and using credit cards to buy items while on a drinking spree, was given the Probation Act for stealing the wallet, at Sligo District Court. At an earlier sitting, 22-year-old Stephen Loughlin, Cloonlougher, Manorhamilton pleaded guilty to charges that he stole a wallet and credit cards belonging to another at Kelly’s Bar, Ballygawley on December 7, 2019. He also pleaded guilty to using a bank card at the Miner’s Bar, at Derrynavogey, Arigna to the value of €22.10 on December 8.

Man who allegedly rammed garda car refused bail Updated / Monday, 25 Jan 2021 13:34 Duane Farry appeared before Donegal District Court today A Co Tyrone man who allegedly rammed a garda car twice during a chase in Co Donegal has been refused bail and remanded in custody to 28 January.  Duane Farry, 31, with addresses at Mountstewart Road, Fintona, and Ashfield Gardens, Fintona, appeared before Donegal District Court on a number of charges including assaulting Detective Garda Paul McHugh causing him to dislocate his finger. Garda Conor Doherty gave evidence to the court of arrest, charge, and caution of the defendant at 7.44pm yesterday and said the defendant made no reply to the charges.

The defendant is further charged with assaulting Julia Gala causing her harm at Main Street, Kinlough on July 6.
